At Blue Door Skin Care, Maria’s philosophy is to provide a space for deep relaxation and rejuvenation, as well as nourishing kindness for the skin and soul.

Maria first became interested in the benefits of skin care after receiving a facial as a gift from a friend. The experience was life changing and began her path toward the aesthetics field, which led her to work at a world-class spa for many years. With women in mind, Maria created the Blue Door Skin Care studio to provide her signature Tranquility Facials Holistic Skin Care for healthy radiance and inner well-being.

People often ask, “Why the name Blue Door?”
A blue door is known to symbolize tranquility and peace, as well as growth and new beginnings. Maria named her studio “Blue Door” in honor of her Mother.

“Blue was a color that my mother chose for many of her thoughtful gifts to me throughout my life. Another gift my mother bestowed upon me was her love of connecting with people through genuine kindness, warmth, and sincerity. I aspire to do the same in my personal and professional life.”

Maria’s clients have commented that her sessions have helped them beyond skin-level, especially during difficult or stressful times. “Blue Door treatments take you to a meditative state, without you even thinking about it.”

During her early career, Maria worked as a child-life specialist for oncology patients at Children’s Hospital in Boston. She also has a strong bond with animals, particularly dogs, and once operated her own pet sitting business called The Fairy Dogmother.
